Happy Holidays!

Dec 24, 2014 by

Dear Readers,

I am taking a brief break for the holidays — regular posts will resume in January. I will also be creating more Course pages for my upcoming courses: Old Church Slavonic (grad course at Stanford), Language, Thought, & Culture: A Reanalysis (at Santa Clara University Osher Institute), and Language & Identity in Geopolitical Hotspots (at Stanford Continuing Studies). Registration for the latter course is open —  check it out. Classes start in the second week of January.

Among other “coming attractions” for 2015 is the online course “Languages of the World” that I am developing for Stanford Continuing Studies — but you can take it from anywhere. Unlike MOOC courses, this course is designed to have a relatively small enrollment and more personal, hands-on approach. Watch this space for more information!

In the meantime, merry Christmas and happy New Year!
